Our CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines are capable of handling your 3, 4 & 5 axis milling requirements. Many are equipped with custom tombstones and pallet changers. We can fulfill your requirements from short run to high volume production. Whether your product is made from raw stock, casting or forging, we have the right machine to provide you with the highest quality at the lowest price.
Contour’s CNC Precision Milling utilizes state of the art Mori Seiki Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) and Hitachi Seiki Vertical Machining Centers
(VMC) to perform simple to complex milling / threading / drilling / boring / tapping / knurling operations serving the Cleveland OH area.
Experience has been with materials ranging from aluminums and plastics to various irons, steels, and stainless steels, and we are open to developing experience in other materials.
The machining of castings and forgings is commonplace in our shop, as is starting with hot rolled and/or cold drawn material. Having started as a tool & die shop, we make all of our custom work holding fixtures in-house, and are experts in work holding of irregular shaped parts.
Our in-house expertise also allows us faster turnaround than competitors who purchase their tooling.
Work piece sizes range from less than 1” to about 18”, depending upon part configuration.
Typical volumes range from 25 pieces to 25,000 pieces. We take on prototype work when there is a good likelihood that the prototypes will lead to future production orders.
